It’s Penguin Awareness Day! I wish we had more books on penguins in our collection so I could make a display, but we only have two.
But we can be aware of penguins without lots of books, right?!
Visit Penguin Science to see LIVE webcam images of penguins in Antarctica and learn about penguin research. Or try Sea World’s online InfoBook on penguins to learn more about these flightless birds. For example, did you know that penguins live only in the Southern Hemisphere? And that some of them live in warm-weather areas like South Africa and the Galapagos Islands?
So be aware of penguins today. Watch Happy Feet or March of the Penguins. Wear a tuxedo t-shirt. Get your dryer fixed. Celebrate Penguin Pride!
